nom nom nom

I'm like a sampan with just one paddle. I keep paddling but I'm just moving around in a circle. And now, I am being sucked into a whirlpool of sucky-ness and laziness. Last few days have been nothing but unproductive. I did not read a single page of a book (I partly blame the amount of facts I have to retain reading that book). I had to make a change just to keep things fresh, so I started reading another book, which hopefully I will finish.

Also, I've given up looking for job. I will now be a full time couch potato. Hoo..ray... -_-

Current issues, hmmm. Since the last sort of 'shocking' result in world cup, this Paul the Octopus octopus has gain a massive amount of attention. It was said that it has so far made 100% accurate prediction on world cup match results. Impressive I must say.

So, this cephalopod is from Germany. As some of you might have known, the germans lost last night. From what I heard, there have been death threats. "Sashimi!" screamed the germans and also the argentinians. (Ok, I have no idea how those groups of people serve their squid. So I went for japanese instead)

But, some of you might have guess, this has only attract ridicule. Well, if not from the general public, at least from me haha.  The germans are pissed cos the squid didn't pick their team to win the world cup and the argentinians think the squid jinxed the match against the germans. People really are going backwards, aren't they? Why the heck would anyone ask a squid about the future? Sure, it guessed it right every time. One word. LUCKY.

I can't argue that these octopuses are, in their own way, smart. I mean, I've seen some mimic a flounder, or a coral, or even open a jar. But predicting the future? Nah, that's just too much.

Goreng pon sodap!

as for the sotong.... poor creature must be under a lot of pressure, with people threatening to make all sorts of delicacies using its flesh! though i must admit it's quite fun to see how ridiculously, as u said, people react to the lucky predictions it's made. long live Paul! haha.
